Win the "Most Alabama Counties 2008" Challenge
Do you travel all over the sate on your bike every year? Do you think you might travel thru more counties than everyone else? If so you should enter the "Most Alabama Counties 2008 " Challenge to win a valuable prize, and recognition and admiration from bikers from all over the world. There are 67 counties in Alabama, but you may only need to travel to 20 or so, and take a picture to prove you were there. Are you up to the challenge?
Why are we doing this?
Very simply, we are doing this for several reasons:
- To encourage members to explore the state
- To inform all members about unknown or unexplored areas of the state
- To educate everyone inside and outside the biking community about the wonderful state of Alabama
- To motivate causual riders to ride more, by giving them a purpose, and an interesting activity and riding goal.
- To bring more awareness to the biking community, this site, and the issues surrounding the lifestyle of the Alabama biker
Rules:
- There are 67 counties in Alabama, and the winner will submit no more than 67 entries, all digital images, via email, FTP, posted to an accessible online repository such as: Flickr, Picasa, Shutterfly etc., posted to the Bama Rides Forum, or mail on CD-ROM or DVD
- You must have photographic evidence of your travels in a verifiable location in each county (no pine trees, unless identifiable) and preferrably a landmark or something the county is known for (statue of boll-weevil, rivers, pubs, and especially any biker stops)
- Each photo must contain at least a portion of your bike in the image, or must be idenitifiable as belonging to a set of the same pictures
- Each photo must be named for the county (eg. "winston-county.jpg")
- Additional prizes may be given to the following categories: best photography, best subject matter, and best description
- In the event of a tie, winner goes to best photography, and/or best subject matter, and/or best description, so there are many ways to win.
- Prizes will be announced as sponsors commit to
- Contest begins April 1, 2008, and ends December 31, 2008, winners will be announced Feb. 2, 2009

Examples of Submissions
Anything will do, from simple road signs, to the best identifiable landmarks and landscapes.
